This traditional bamboo countertop with a contrasting strand bamboo core provides a beautiful visual accent to any interior application, such as kitchen and bathroom countertops, table tops or shelving. Suitable for residential and commercial applications, our furniture-grade edge-grain countertop is made with a urea formaldehyde-free adhesive and is naturally bacteria-resistant.
PERFORMANCE & DURABILITY

• Optimum 5.5 Moso Bamboo: Harvested at maturity for peak density, creating a harder and more stable product for lasting beauty and performance, while also making it naturally bacteria-resistant.
• Can be finished with mineral oil or beeswax for a food-safe surface, ideal for cutting and food prep areas.

FABRICATION + INSTALLATION
ACCLIMATION + SITE CONDITIONS
Ensure countertop is maintained at 35-55% relative humidity throughout fabrication and installation. Bamboo, like hardwood, may expand or contract when exposed to high or low relative humidity.
FABRICATION
Standard hardwood woodworking guidelines apply, carbide tipped tools recommended. Look for AWI-certified fabricators and installers when choosing a Teragren countertop.
FASTENING
Pilot holes, pre-drilling, oversized slots for screw inserts, panel clips or other methods that allow for expansion and contraction are necessary for unrestrained applications and countertops.
MAINTENANCE
Maintain finish of your choice – either prefinished option with mineral oil compound or on-site finish – to protect the countertop and ensure longevity. For evaporative finishes re-application may occasionally be required. Finish must be applied equally to all sides and edges, including the bottom, to maintain a balanced product.
